Book ticketsTicket FAQs
We recommend booking online. Online bookings can be made in advance or on the day of your visit. At busy times certain entry slots and workshops may sell out, so we do recommend booking ahead with plenty of time.
Book ticketsPlease book your tickets online here. If you do need to call us to make or amend a booking, please ring 01494 892192. If we can’t answer when you call please leave your details in a message and we will get back to you – our phone line can get very busy at peak times.
Please note, general admission and workshop tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable
Book ticketsYou can book same day tickets online or at the ticket desk, subject to availability.
If you haven’t pre-booked, tickets can be purchased on the door; we usually have the best availability in the afternoon. If the Museum is busy when you arrive, we may have to ask you to come back later.
Please note, we can’t always guarantee on-the-door availability during peak times such as school holidays.
When you book in advance, you’ll select an arrival time slot; please aim to arrive as promptly as possible at the time you have booked, to help us spread out visitors throughout the day. Once here, you will be able to enjoy the Museum for the rest of the day.
All of our tickets are annual tickets and will allow you to re-visit the Museum for 12 months. This only applies to general admission and not any of the workshops or extras that we run.
See our annual ticket terms herePlease use our online booking system and select ‘Annual Return Visit’. You’ll need to enter your booking reference and the next stage of the booking. If you have lost your reference, please call 01494 892192 or email hello@roalddahlmuseum.org (monitored Mon to Fri) and we will be able to look this up for you.
To add a workshop please select your general admission in the booking system first. You’ll then be given the option to add any workshops running on that day to your basket. You can see what’s on on our listings page.
Please note that workshop tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
See what’s onPlease use the ‘Free carer ticket’ option in the booking system. Free carer tickets are for registered carers, we may ask for proof at the ticket desk when you arrive.
Please note that no dogs, except assistance dogs, are allowed in the Museum, Cafe or courtyard at any time.
Yes, we do sell gift tickets. Please call 01494 892192 to purchase.
If you are a UK tax payer you can now opt to Gift Aid your ticket. This means the Museum can claim the tax back on your admission from the Government. It doesn’t cost you extra to Gift Aid your ticket, but you must pay tax equivalent to all your Gift Aid charitable donations in each tax year.
Your donation is phizz-whizzingly generous and makes a gigantuous difference to our work as a charity. Thank you!
Our general admission tickets are not refundable. If you are unable to come on the day of your booking you will be able to visit on another date as our general admission tickets are valid for 12 months. This doesn’t apply to any extras such as workshops as these are non-refundable or transferable.
If you need to contact us about a booking please email hello@roalddahlmuseum.org (monitored Mon to Fri) or call 01494 892192. Please leave a message if you can’t get through on the phone and we will get back to you.
