There are many ways you can support the Museum, we really appreciate our supporters so THANK YOU!

Visit us

Your tickets keep the Museum operating. They allow us to look after the Roald Dahl archive and help us to provide an award winning schools programme.

Buy something from our shop

We run our onsite shop and a online webstore. Both are packed with amazing Roald Dahl goodies from special edition books, through to gifts, pocket money items and Quentin Blake prints. There’s everything a super-fan could want! As a charity all purchases help maintain the Museum and look after the Roald Dahl archive.

Our charity

The Roald Dahl Museum is a charity (number 1085853) and our purpose is to help people unlock stories, exploring and enjoying their own creativity through the example of Roald Dahl’s creative craft.

We care for Roald Dahl’s amazing archive, one of the most complete literary archives in the world. Within the many treasure-filled boxes you can find the first draft of Matilda, Roald Dahl’s hand-written notes outlining what kind of creatures might live on James’s Peach, and his Story Ideas Books revealing the roots of some of the author’s most famous tales. We also care for Roald Dahl’s Writing Hut, the centrepiece of the Museum experience, preserved as the magical, messy shrine to imagination where Roald wrote all of his most famous stories for children.

Unlocking Stories Project

We’re about to embark on a complete re-development of the Museum called the Unlocking Stories Project (USP). This project will enable to the Museum to provide a more valuable experience for a much wider audience.
