Curious about what’s hidden behind the scenes at the Museum? Then join us for a fascinating archive adventure! Guided by the Head of Collections, families with children aged 8 and up will get a rare, up-close look at real archive treasures and uncover scrumdiddlyumptious secrets from Matilda, The BFG, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This 30 minute experience in the Museum’s Reading Room is an exciting dive into Dahl’s world and the stories behind the stories!

- Peek at original archive materials, letters and manuscripts.
- Learn about what an archive is and how we look after Roald Dahl’s items in our archive store.

Under 16’s will need to be accompanied at all times in the Museum and during workshops and activities. Accompanying adults will need to pay for a space for this activity.
