My Year Walk – October – Spooky Special

Sunday 27 October

Book today
Embrace the seasons on a guided Roald Dahl countryside walk with a spooky twist!

Immerse yourself in autumn, cartwheel through the fields, ramble through woods and listen to extracts from Roald Dahl’s My Year and other stories in the woods and fields that inspired the books.

This month we’ll be reading extracts from the October chapter of My Year, Roald Dahl’s last book. You’ll learn about Roald Dahl’s take on the changing seasons, with a few spooky extracts thrown in. You’ll hear spooky stories under the railway bridge where Roald told stories to his children, and in the atmospheric woods where he set Danny the Champion of the World. But don’t fall behind, the Gruncher might get you!

“Beware, beware the Forest of Sin! None come out, but many go in…”

£4 per person in addition to Museum entry

Option to pre-order a hot drink and scone to be waiting for you on your return for an extra £6 per person – please order by midday Thurs before by emailing hello@roalddahlmuseum.org.

“We were lucky enough to visit on the day of a walking tour with Michael. Walking around the countryside in the footsteps of Roald Dahl while listening to Michael read extracts was very special- my son said it was his favourite part of the visit!”
