The Roald Dahl Museum is looking for a creative and enthusiastic new member of staff to join their marketing team. As Marketing & Design Officer you’ll provide vital capacity for a small and busy team working to raise awareness of the Museum.
The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre (RDMSC) welcomes thousands of people through its doors every year to experience the wonder and magic of Roald Dahl’s storymaking. As Marketing & Design Officer you’ll help the Marketing & Design Manager deliver the Museum’s marketing strategy, with a focus on the Museum’s digital activity.
A typical day might see you sending out an e-newsletter, updating the Museum’s website, creating new social content or managing a PPC ad campaign.
You’ll also:
- Work with the Marketing & Design Manager to develop and implement the Museum’s social content strategy.
- Develop and implement digital marketing partnerships as needed.
- Generate monthly analytics reports.
- Work with freelance content creators on an ad hoc basis – creating briefs and attending onsite photo and video shoots.
- Carry out ad-hoc PR work including dealing with journalists, assisting on press days and other engagement as needed.
This role will suit someone hoping to gain valuable experience of marketing within the arts and heritage sector. You’ll have a keen interest in marketing and design and demonstrable knowledge of digital tools and social channels, but most importantly you’ll be enthusiastic, keen to learn and full of ideas. You’ll be a great communicator, naturally organised with great time management and willing to develop your skills as the role demands. The right candidate will be given full support and training, with many opportunities for ongoing professional development.
Come and work with a friendly team in the lovely village of Great Missenden, just 50 minutes by train from London and surrounded by the beautiful countryside that inspired Roald Dahl.
