Roald Dahl Museum

A phizz-whizzing welcome.

Visit the Roald Dahl Museum, based in the village Roald Dahl lived and wrote in for 36 years.

Pull a power pose next to Matilda, measure yourself against the BFG, test your sparkiness on the Spark-o-Meter and come face-to-face with Fantastic Mr Fox.

Explore the Museum and try out over 40 hands-on activities in the galleries. Take a peek into Roald’s famous Writing Hut, explore the new Wondrous Woods and see if you can spot all 17 Quentin Blake illustrations in the courtyard.

Plus don’t miss the craft room, the galleries trail and the chance to explore the local village and countryside that inspired the stories with our self-led walks.

Perfect for children aged 5 to 12 and their families.
